Want to have an impact on millions of users?

Good at answering questions? How about these:

Are you passionate about building applications and developer experience? Do you really care about code quality? Will you challenge our developers on their code quality?

You got here – nice one. You could be what we’re looking for. Here’s more info:

Our team is looking for an exceptional Software Developer in Test to help turn our vision into reality. Working as a Software Developer in Test at Spil Games means you’ll be working in a fast paced startup environment, working on high-load performance systems.

About the job

We’re looking for someone with a big passion for delivering the highest quality software; someone who wants to enable developers to create high-quality, maintainable, and preferment code. As a Software Developer in Test, you’ll be involved with contributing to system-wide design and test decisions and implementation of the applications. You’ll help define and implement the test strategy for these experiences, and you’ll have regular opportunities to work directly with different product stakeholders (internal and external) and help the team to achieve the goal of building shipping a premium application on our Gaming Platform.

In this job you’re being expected to build an overview of what is important in our environment in terms of technical quality. You’re expected to take ownership and have a drive for research and to look for innovative tools. It’s important that you’re able to see our systems as a whole, know how different modules interact and know how information flows work in different systems and layers. You’re being concerned with performance, code metrics and architectural principles. You’ll dive into code, review it and you’re able to understand code on the lower level.

The job requires a certain level of autonomy as you’ll be interacting with different technologies, departments and projects. You’ll not be connected to one team in particular, but in touch with all kinds of units, and therefore you need an independent drive to connect with people.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

  • Independently work across multiple teams;

  • Involvement in software quality assurance and its processes;

  • Strong desire to join and influence a sustainable, high-performance test culture;

  • Participating in the planning, development, and testing of key features;

  • Contributory or reviewer role in the creation of designs for production software with focus on testability, robustness, and performance;

  • Assisting in bridging the gaps across the team with technical and process expertise and experience; and

  • Investigate and implement new testing methodologies for robustness and efficiency.

To be said, we’re not looking for a tester, but we’re looking for someone with a developers background who is concerned with quality. Our ideal candidate for this job is someone who can promote code quality, who really cares about it, and is able to transfer and project his care on and to other people . You will maintain and guarantee quality in our systems and environments and challenge our developers on their work with regards to sustainability, scalability, maintainability and performance.
