We’re looking for a skilled javascript developer to join our small engineering team. You should have significant experience with HTML and CSS, as well as creating interactions that delight the user with javascript.
You’ll work closely with our design and marketing teams to create and customize web experiences for our customers. You’ll be creating educational, in-browser games and activities that users will want to replay and share. We’d like to be distracted from our workday while playing with the awesome things in your portfolio. You’ll need to know technologies like jQuery, d3, SVG and canvas, but more than that, you’ll be able to knit them together to make clear, memorable casual games and demos.
Our core web product is built in Ruby-on-Rails, backed by PostgreSQL, with a thick Coffeescript/Backbone.js layer on the front end; some experience with these technologies is preferred but not necessary. We value test-driven development and constant collaboration -- our team practices pair programming full time, so you’ll have the opportunity to learn new techniques and technologies from everyone as well as sharing your skills.
