Layer3 TV's Denver-based systems team is building the high performance real-time video delivery foundations of our next-generation entertainment service. The team is hard at work engineering, integrating and deploying a highly distributed, scalable and reliable IP video platform for delivering video content. Our engineering team sets the direction in the design, development and implementation for content delivery to a wide range of consumer devices. To help us achieve our goals, we are hiring the best and brightest web server engineers.
We're especially interested in your abilities with some or most of the following:
- Development, integration and testing of highly scalable Web Server systems for the delivery of video content.
- System installation, configuration and development of Web and Proxy Servers such as Apache, IIS, Nginx, Varnish, etc.
- Experience with LAMP solution stack for high-performance web servers.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Domain Name System (DNS).
- Deep working knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems.
- Experience working with XML and web service tools including SOAP and REST
- Knowledge and application of scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, PERL, etc.
- Experience with large-scale server deployments, including Linux, blade servers and NAS storage systems.
- Familiar with JavaScript including Tomcat, Node,js, etc.
- Development and support of production systems and experience working within a 24x7 operations environment supporting Linux and Windows systems.
