As part of the Innovation team, you’ll contribute to backend services that enable us to personalize maps and location-based services and make them contextually relevant. Our highly scalable backend services are implemented in Node.JS, offering REST APIs. We are looking for a senior engineer to bring our backend services to the next level, add new features, and keep quality and performance at the highest levels.

Big data needs to be turned into personal data. You will work closely with frontend developers to support their needs to create amazing user experiences. Besides that, you will have lots of freedom to explore topics around location-based apps - prototyping and experimentation to find out what works and what doesn’t is also part of your job. We need somebody who is agile, responds well to changing requirements, creative, and most of all: someone who is always aware there's a user on the other side of every good application. We want a developer who is not afraid to suggest an unusual solution to a problem - if it works, we'll probably do it.
