The Role:
Bloomberg is looking for a senior web developer to join the Web Shared Services team and play a key role in the design, implementation and support of multimedia products provided by Bloomberg.
Our team is re-designing Bloomberg's end-to-end media infrastructure for the web. We are working toward establishing a high availability, highly flexible system to developer high quality media experience for our web users around the world.
As part of our team, you will work on multiple layers and components that are used to deliver media assets, both back-end (storage and delivery of media assets, CMS, etc.) and the front-end (player, asset retrieval and streaming, CDNs, etc). You would also be able to work on new and exciting features to video delivery and interactivity. The ideal candidate has a strong background in developing video applications, and experience working with web based applications, adaptive streaming protocols and online delivery platforms.
