Front-end developers (CSS) at Spil Games are not just code monkeys who mindlessly crank out HTML from browser files. They are part of our technology and product teams and act as true user advocates by defining, designing, and developing new platform features used by millions of players every day. If you love to create entertaining products as much as you love to produce clean and super-fast front-end code, you definitely belong at Spil Games.

Job Description:

Spil Games is looking for an enthusiastic front-end developer to drive the growth of Spil Games’ global gaming portal Zibbo.com, which draws millions of monthly players.

As our mobile strategy will focus increasingly on browser-based games for touch devices instead of for desktop, we have a huge challenge to face: to (re-)build a complete, responsive website for Zibbo’s game-hosting capability. As a front-end developer at Zibbo.com, you’ll ensure that all the millions of players currently playing on desktop will have an even better experience playing on touch devices.

The Front-End Developer will be part of a multidisciplinary agile team that is focused on understanding user needs and delivering incremental releases to drive the development of a product to better suit those needs.

The core tasks and responsibilities of this front-end job include:

  • Monitoring the website’s performance and usability, and doing whatever it takes to optimize this for our players;

  • Protecting and improving the speed of our globally distributed set of websites by writing structured SASS code;

  • Enhancing the usability of our websites through design proposals, taking into account user-interaction concepts and principles; and,

  • Participating in generating ideas for, and implementation of, A/B tests, obtaining and interpreting data to understand possible benefits, and using these prototypes to create full functionalities.
