Major Responsibilities
Responsible for the advanced design, development, and coding of the presentation layer of the external BCBSNC Web applications and marketing web sites and/or mobile applications.
Major Job Functions/Components
• Provide technical expertise to facilitate complex web and/or mobile applications development for corporate and divisional projects.
• Provide expertise for department and company on Web technologies, strategies and web design, coding, usability, and development standards.
• Analyze, design, code, test, and implement new and/or modified content and functionality for the corporate websites.
• Implements wireframes, content, visual interfaces and graphic assets as well as develops prototypes and integrates web services in the design and development of web and/or mobile applications.
• Serve as main point of contact for troubleshooting presentation layer issues and interfacing with IS on the production support of the corporate websites and applications.
• Work with project managers, usability analysts, designers, and application developers to design, code, and maintain high quality user-centric Web interfaces that meet business objectives as well as usability and corporate standards.
• Determines and utilizes best practices in web design, coding, testing, and maintenance to achieve high quality user-centric interface that is in compliance with legal, BCBSNC and BCBSA brand guidelines, NCDOI, and CMS and appropriate W3C and Section 508 guidelines.
• Participate in regular content and functionality pushes to the web, including testing and validation, troubleshooting any issues, and following the change management processes.
• Support and maintain efficient and organized file structure, documentation, status reports, and project milestone reporting.
• Provide direction and assistance to junior staff members as needed.
