IFS R&D in Gothenburg is an innovation studio within IFS – an international full suite ERP software company. At our site in Gothenburg we have our mobile apps team and our IFS Labs where we do the bleeding edge stuff. In our teams you’ll be working with every aspect of software development; model, controller, and view or in laymen terms; database, application server, and client – the full spectrum, the complete enchilada.
At IFS, you’ll be part of a small, fast paced team in a big company where you’ll be developing on the leading edge. This is where your creativity and your broad knowledge come in hand. You’ll take on the role as designer and developer of a function or application; an A – Z responsibility. You’ll take a task and run with it; from the drawing board to a finished product that meets the eye of the user. You’ll be working on individual assignments or in agile teams of 5-10 people, with projects lasting from a few months to a couple of years.
To be a successful candidate, you have working knowledge of the Microsoft and Java stacks, but curious enough by nature to have fiddled around with various new techniques like Node.js, CoffeScript, and Redis, even though it may not have been what you’re current work is about. Perhaps you have built some apps for the App Store in your spare time (or at your workplace). You feel comfortable joining a discussion on Windows Azure Platform as a Service, various MVC web frameworks like Sinatra or Laravel, as well as the latest techniques to get a SASS or LESS powered UI to look outstanding over various devices.
In addition to your language agnostic approach to programming, we believe you take special pride in delivering software that looks good. You don’t have to be a Picasso or Rembrandt, but you know what a responsive state of the art application looks like, no matter if it’s HTML5/JS/CSS, an iOS/Android app, or a classic Windows client, and you know how to create UI’s that stand out from the herd.
