Geosyntec is seeking a full-time UX Developer to work out of either the Boston, Massachusetts or Chicago, Illinois office.
We are a small team of developers working in support of a world-class organization of environmental practitioners to implement and invent the next generation of internet of things-based real time environmental management. Existing projects have focused on usage of forecast information to improve the operation of stormwater mitigation infrastructure. Our effort is entering its fourth year, and has begun to gain traction in industry and attract more and larger projects, including sensor networks covering entire municipal areas. You would be the third pure-software developer on our team of 8 software, hardware, and civil/environmental engineers.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to contributing to the development of our client-side, mobile-ready suite of applications using SOLID code leveraging core HTML5 technologies, including helping design critical UX workflows; creating slick, professional, and effective layouts; and writing supporting unit and e2e tests.
The selected candidate will be expected to work with environmental engineers and technicians and may be expected to perform tasks in other company practice areas as needed. Tasks will be designed to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in these technical disciplines and the business of professional engineering consulting services.
