As a Site Reliability Engineer you will help us grow, automate, and monitor all aspects of our brand websites. This will require a combination of software development, networking, and systems engineering expertise to identify and implement solutions to any problems. Communication and collaboration are key to delivering the best product possible for our users as well as a good sense of humor and enjoyment for technology in general. We don’t wear just one hat here (we have a whole closet full of them) so be ready to immerse yourself into the team for whatever is asked of you. This is not a job to just deal with the issues of today, but help create and architect a vision of what an optimal system would look like in the future.
What You'll Do
- Work with development teams to architect and build out infrastructure to run their code on in a scaleable, efficient, and optimized fashion
- Set up monitoring for applications which will be used to analyze performance and other business metrics
- Develop internal ops tools and ensure that building and deployment of code can happen in a safe and continuous fashion
- Respond to and resolve emergent service problems; build tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence
- Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation (be available by phone/email/chat in case something goes wrong)
